Power > simply put, brief, intense drilling with plenty of rest between drills is critical. Our programs will emphasize technique, starts, acceleration, speed endurance, and relaxation. Power is the combination of strength and speed. Power training in an explosive manner with appropriate resistance will train specifically the muscular actions associated within a given sport.


Strength> is the ability to exert maximum force contraction of the working muscles. or the ability of the neuromuscular system to produce force against a resistance. Strength enhances the performance and execution of many athletic skills. All the skills athletes must perform against resistance will benefit from improving strength. A well designed strength program will result in strengthening muscles, ligaments, and tendons and as a result, will allow the athlete to better cope with the strain of training and competitions. Strength training not only helps prevent injuries now but also provides a strong foundation for the athlete to build upon.


Speed> is the by-product of two forces. Combining strength and speed. Maximum force in the shortest time possible. (Force x Distance Time.)
Although maximum speed is rarely achieved in sports, proper running mechanics and speed training will improve any athlete’s sport speed.

 

Agility> the ability to decelerate, accelerate, and change directions quickly while maintaining good body control without decreasing speed. Agility training helps the athlete control small adjustments in neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee, and ankle joints for the optimal postural alignment during performance.

Greg O’Bryan perfected his training programs managing the physical conditioning facilities at Paramount Studios. Greg’s clients have included top celebrities like Robin Williams, Demi Moore and Melissa Etheridge. Greg has a proven ability to bring about optimal fitness through his knowledge of physiology, nutrition and biomechanics. Establishing a private fitness practice in 1993,ÊGreg has since been profiled in Runner’s World, Competitor, Shape and People magazines.ÊHe has also appeared on AM Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight, CNN and CNBC Health and Fitness. Greg has trained Demi Moore for GHOST, Richard Gere and Andy Garcia for INTERNAL AFFAIRS, Michael Douglas for BLACK RAIN, Tom Berenger for the SUBSTITUTE, Clint And Lisa Black for JACK FAVOR, and supervised the cast of ALIVE when they needed to slim down en masse.ÊIn addition to motion pictures, he has an extensive background in the world of television, training the cast members from Cheers, Wings, and Star Trek.


Greg supervised Robin Williams personal training during the filming of the movie BEING HUMAN. Robin personally requested Greg to supervise his training during the production of MRS. DOUBTFIRE,Êand as well for the intense role in JUMANJI.
Greg’s continued supervision of ÊWilliams’ personal fitness program has resulted in a lighter, defined physique that was not only obvious to movie viewers worldwide, but also noted on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and in New Yorker magazine.
Greg currently operates O’Bryan Fitness Training. While still providing training for a select few in the entertainment industry, Greg has focused his efforts towards helping properly train young athletes by teaching appropriate life long methods of sustained physical and nutritional balance.

Greg currently provides training for Corona del Mar Girls Volleyball and Foothill High Boys Water Polo teams. By working with high school and college athletes, Greg brings a new fresh approach towards attaining physical performance.
His programs produce results quickly and safely. The result is stronger, faster, more agile athletes with fewer injuries.
